Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), also commonly called polyvidone or povidone, is a water-soluble polymer made from the monomer N-vinylpyrrolidone.
PVP K30 is also known as polyvinylpyrrolidone K30 or povidone K30. PVP is a non-ionic polymer. It is a high molecular polymer polymerized by N-vinylpyrrolidone (NVP). The average molecular weight of povidone K30 is 40000. This product is white to off-white powder, odorless and tasteless, soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in acetone or ether. Its molecular formula is (C6H9NO)n, and its CAS number is 9003-39-8.
PVP K30 Powder is hygroscopic, has good adhesive properties, has a stable pH value, and has the ability to form transparent films. Widely used in food, cosmetics, technology industries, etc.
