The difference between cyclohexamine and dicyclohexamine
Dicyclohexamine, also known as dodecahydrodiphenylamine. Colorless transparent oily liquid. It smells fishy. Molecular weight 181.32. Boiling point 254 ~ 255℃. The relative density is 0.9104(25/25℃). Refractive index 1.4842. Flash point 9Chemicalbook6℃. Can be miscible with ethyl ether, cyclohexylamine, soluble in ethanol and benzene, insoluble in water. It is mainly used in the synthesis of rubber accelerator, metal corrosion inhibitor, surfactant, medicine and pesticide. It's made by reacting cyclohexanol with ammonia and hydrogen. It can also be prepared by catalytic hydrogenation of aniline.
The difference between cyclohexamine and dicyclohexamine
1. Different levels. Cyclohexylamine is a primary amine, dicyclohexylamine is a secondary amine.
2. The products are different. Adding NaNO2+ dilute cold hydrochloric acid reagent primary amine will generate diazo salt, easy to decompose nitrogen. Secondary amine will produce nitroso-amine, yellow oil or yellow solid, adding stannous chloride hydrochloric acid reagent can be reduced.
