Precautions for use and storage of cyclohexylamine

Cyclohexylamine is soluble in water and can also be miscible in most organic solvents, so it is mainly used as a solvent to produce desulfurizers, rubber antioxidants, vulcanization accelerators, plastic and textile chemical aids, boiler water treatment agents, metal corrosion inhibitors, emulsifiers, preservatives, antistatic agents, latex coagulants, petroleum additives, fungicides, pesticides and dye intermediates.

Because cyclohexylamine is irritating to the skin and has mutagenicity to the human body, the workers in daily work contact should wear direct gas mask (half mask), chemical safety goggles, anti-corrosion work clothes, rubber oil-resistant gloves and airtight operation in strict accordance with the operating procedures. Pay attention to ventilation in the working environment and avoid kindling and heat sources. No smoking sign and cyclohexylamine occupational hazard notice card shall be set up in the workplace.

In terms of storage, the temperature of the warehouse shall not exceed 30 ℃ and be ventilated. The storage containers should be kept sealed and should not be mixed with acids and edible chemicals. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities shall be adopted. The workplace and warehouse shall be equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment.
