In recent years, China's tetrahydrofuran production technology has achieved significant progress. Since the late 20th century, domestic enterprises have gradually adopted the BDO dehydration and cyclization method, which has become the mainstream process for tetrahydrofuran production. This technology not only improves production efficiency, but also reduces production costs, allowing domestic tetrahydrofuran to occupy a place in the market. According to statistics, as of the end of April 2022, China's total PBAT production capacity planned to be put into production in the next three years is expected to exceed 4.49 million tons/year. This expansion is bound to further increase the supply of Tetrahydrofuran.
